Nature Cat
CloudKid was approached by PBS Kids to define the show’s identity package, as well as concept, design, and produce the digital products, including a responsive website and five cross-platform HTML5 games. The design challenge was twofold: 1) Create a visual design language that was an extension of the show and its art style, as well as while being inspired by outdoor exploration and adventure, and 2) create engaging digital products that showcased the characters and educated kids about nature and science concepts.

Working with the CloudKid team, we explored unique site concepts that would capture the sights and sounds of nature and the great outdoors. The design challenge was to create a website that simply did not feel like a show website, but rather a portal where children could go to hang out with the Nature Cat gang in their own backyard.
Home Page: Nature Cat swings onto the tree knocking the promos down into place.
Games Page: Visit Hal to play video games. Click elements within the scene for secret critter easter eggs.
DIY Page: Squeeks greets you. Each promo takes the user to a downloadable DIY project.
Videos Page: Watch videos with Daisy. The design challenge was to design a video player experience that feels natural in the character’s environment
Badges Page: Users take part in Nature Cat “missions” (digital scavenger hunts) by consuming specific content to earn unlockable badges (achievements)
